Neither purely hunter nor scavenger, the caracara adapts with sharp intelligence. I was drawn to its bold
presence: dark wings against bright sky, a beak catching late-day light. As a mother and painter, I relate to the
caracara’s resourcefulness. Forager is a tribute to resilience and adaptability, and a reminder that survival
often depends on keen observation and a willingness to make use of what others might overlook.
