Commissioned Paintings

Custom Artwork, Created Just for You

I offer a limited number of commissioned paintings throughout the year. Commissions are a collaborative process—rooted in your story and brought to life through my loose, colorful acrylic style.

Whether you’re honoring a beloved animal, capturing a special place, or creating a meaningful gift, each painting is created with care, intuition, and attention to feeling rather than strict realism.

Subjects I Love to Paint

I’m best known for expressive, painterly work inspired by life around us. Popular commission subjects include:

  • Horses
  • Cows and livestock
  • Pets (dogs, cats, etc.)
  • Farm and ranch landscapes
  • Meaningful places connected to home or family

If you have something slightly outside this list, feel free to ask—I’m always happy to see if it’s a good fit.

Style & Medium

All commissions are painted in my loose, colorful acrylic style, focusing on mood, movement, and character rather than fine detail. Brushwork is visible and expressive, and colors may be interpretive rather than literal.

Each piece is an original work of art—not a photo replica.

Pricing & Payment

  • Prices start at $160, plus Texas state sales tax and any shipping costs
  • A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your commission and begin work
  • The remaining balance is due upon completion, before shipping or local pickup

Pricing may vary depending on size, subject, and complexity. A final quote will be provided before work begins.

The Commission Process

  1. Inquiry
Use the contact form or email to tell me about your idea, subject, preferred size, and timeline.
  2. Details & Reference Photos
Once we confirm it’s a good fit, you’ll share reference photos and any important notes.
  3. Retainer & Scheduling
A 50% non-refundable retainer secures your spot on my commission calendar.
  4. Painting Begins
I’ll create your piece in my signature style. Because of the intuitive nature of my work, I do not offer progress revisions. After completion of the painting, one round of small revisions are included. Cost of additional revisions will depend on complexity.
  5. Completion & Delivery
When the painting is finished, the remaining balance is due. Your artwork will then be carefully packaged and shipped.

Timeline

Most commissions are completed within 4–6 weeks of payment, depending on size and current workload. If you need a piece by a specific date, please mention that in your inquiry.

A Few Important Notes

  • The retainer is non-refundable, but you have the right to refuse the final painting. At that point it will become available to other buyers.
  • Colors and interpretation are part of my artistic voice and may differ slightly from reference photos
  • I reserve the right to decline commissions that are not a good fit for my style
